Camaro Custom Club - Belgium

>

Do not be fooled by the Club’s name, which does not answer to the latest developments anymore.   We have 200 members with a Corvette.

Information:
Erected some 6 years ago, the Club was an initiative which evolved from a casual meet of Camaro drivers. As some of them had their cars enhanced with chrome plated wheels, clad with custom paint jobs and plush interiors installed, the initial name of the Club seemed obvious at the time. Along the way, however, the Club outgrew these limitations and became a full-fledged haven for all GM muscle Cars as the Camaro, Corvette and Firebird.

As of this being written, the Club boasts some 400 regular members, putting it at the top as Belgium’s largest and most proffessionaly organized association of it’s kind.

Besides publishing a 68-page tri-monthly newsletter (in Dutch obviously) the Club concurrently organizes about six one-day regional meetings and cruises for member owned vehicles. As for an opening to the general public, a 2-day international meet admitting all car makes of U.S. origins is held once a year. This meeting is called “American Power on Wheels”. Currently, the Club fleet consist of ± 80 Camaros, ± 160 Corvettes, ± 110 Firebirds and Trans Ams and some 50 miscellaneous U.S. Cars.

Their owners originate from following countries : Switzerland : 1, U.S.A : 1, Luxembourg : 5, Spain : 1, France : 1, The Netherlands : 75, the balance being made up by Belgians. Their car pool comprises ‘Fifty’s’ Corvette’s along with the powerful ZR-1, and ranges from 1st generation Camaro’s and Firebirds onward to the most recent models. Both stock versions, customized Street machines and Pro-streets variations of these makes are admitted.
